Nash Benedict finds himself turning Benedict Arnold after promising to look after his brother's girl while he serves in Afghanistan. An accidental crush becomes an inappropriate affair of the heart, and that leads the characters headlong into a meeting with murder.

This short story is enough to wet the appetite to read more about Nash whom we met in an earlier novel. He is a strong, ethical character who does everything for his family. He believes in the work he does as an operative and is often misunderstood by his family as a result of this. What you want to do is read more about him, which is just what the author intended. However she is notorious for slow delivery of novels and not necessarily in any particular order, so if you are excited and enthused once you finish this novella, don't hold your breath for the next instalment, god knows when it will come. Almost inclined to say wait until the follow up novel is out and then get them both.Product details

Good story.
This is a teaser and nothing else. Can't say it's good or bad. What a waste of money. I really liked the Benedict stories so far but this was a disappointment of the biggest kind.
A great short story part of a great series Joan knows how to keep your interest loved it more please
Too short with no hope of a continuation! Left me wanting to read more. I was ticked off because I wanted to read this as an entire book! I guess that makes it a good read! Just very frustrating!!!!!

I have been waiting for months to read the next book in the series
When I saw that this book was available I was so pysch'd, However this is like a short
version and I was like what the heck? Don't get me wrong I loved what little this book contained but REALLYYYYYYYY. I wanted to read the whole book now just the trailor to the book.
I have read several of Joan Johnston's book (I think maybe all). I have LOVED every one of them. She is a fabulous author. I only wish she would come out with more books. I believe the last one I read was Shattered and I was thinking there was a continuation coming out but I haven't seen it yet.
Great author - I highly recommend all her books!
I've read other books she has written and liked them, so when I got this one thinking it was part of a series about the Benedict Brothers I was excited. Only to be totally let down. It would be as great book if she finished, It was only about a chapter long. It has a great story going with suspense and romance then it just stops dead. You have no idea who was killed or why. The characters just say see ya and that's the end. If she finished the book it would be a great one.
